Psychometric Profile

One sitting. Five instruments. A career map built on what you are actually like.

Most career advice a family receives is a stranger's opinion, delivered with confidence. This is a structured assessment from IVYBootcamps: interests, personality type, five-factor traits, learning behaviour and cognitive aptitude, scored against grade-band norms and mapped onto the courses, entrance routes and careers that fit the student in front of us.

The assessment and your summary report are free. The counselling session is paid.

What is measured

Five instruments, one sitting

Each one answers a question the others cannot. Taken together they are the difference between “you seem like a science person” and a defensible recommendation.

  1. Interests & Subject Affinity

What you are drawn to, and what you would rather avoid.

Which fields you would actually enjoy, and which you would tolerate.

  2. Type Preference Indicator

How you take in information, decide, and organise your world.

How you take in information and reach a decision, in your own words.

  3. Five-Factor Personality Profile

The five traits that predict academic and professional outcomes best.

The five traits that predict how you will handle a course, not just choose one.

  4. Learning Behaviour Profile

How you actually study, start, organise and recover.

Where your study habits help you and where they cost you marks.

  5. Cognitive Aptitude Battery

Five timed exercises. Reasoning, memory, space, words and speed.

Where your reasoning is strongest — and what that opens up.

    Timed subtests
  6. And then the part that matters

Scores on their own change nothing. Every profile is turned into a stream recommendation, a shortlist of courses and careers, and the entrance routes that lead to them — for India, abroad, or both.

Who it is for

Classes 7 to 12, every board

The form is assembled for the student's class, board and stream before the first question appears. A Class 11 Commerce student is never shown a Science item, and a Class 7 student is never asked to choose a stream that does not exist yet.

Boards supported

CBSE / ICSE / State Boards
Prescribed syllabus, board examinations, CUET / JEE / NEET / CLAT pathways.
IB / Cambridge
Inquiry-led, six subject groups, internal assessment and extended essay.
A-Levels
Three or four subjects studied in depth, linear terminal examinations.

What you get, and what it costs

The report is free. The hour is not.

We would rather you saw real output before you decided whether to pay for anything.

For parents

What you are paying for, stated plainly

You are being asked to make a decision about your child's next ten years on the basis of a report. You are entitled to know how that report was produced, who produced it, and where it stops being reliable. All of that is written down.

Read the methodology in full
No score is produced by a model
Every number is deterministic arithmetic over the student's own answers. The same responses always produce the same profile, and it can be recomputed and checked.
The report says how much to trust it
Four validity checks run on every submission. If the questionnaire was rushed or answered without reading, the counsellor is told so before they interpret a single score.
Nothing is sold before you see output
The assessment costs nothing, and the free report is a real document rather than a teaser with the useful half removed.
Your child's data stays with the counselling team
Answers are stored to score the profile and prepare the report. They are not sold, and they are not shared outside your counselling team.

Honesty first

What this is, and what it is not

A career assessment that overstates itself is worse than none at all, because a family acts on it. So here are the limits, on the front page rather than in the small print.

What it is

  • Five instruments authored in-house by our own team, under our own names, with items we wrote and own.
  • Scored against grade-band norms, so a Class 7 student is compared with Class 7 students and not with Class 12 students.
  • Assembled per class, board and stream, with the completeness of every form checked automatically before release.
  • Reported with bands and relative strengths, which are the parts of a percentile that hold up.
  • A structured, evidence-led starting point for a conversation with a counsellor who has read all of it.

What it is not

  • Not a clinical or diagnostic tool. The learning-behaviour profile describes study habits. It does not identify, screen for or diagnose any condition, and it must not be used as though it does.
  • Not an IQ test. The aptitude battery reports percentiles on five reasoning indices against our own norms, and nothing more.
  • Not a licensed third-party instrument, and not derived from one. Where a well-known proprietary test measures a similar construct, we measure that construct with our own items instead of reproducing theirs.
  • Not norm-referenced against a measured Indian cohort yet. Our norms are provisional, modelled rather than observed, and they will be rebuilt from real data and re-versioned.
  • Not a prediction. It describes a student as they are today, at an age when a great deal is still forming.

If a student or family is worried about attention, mood, learning or wellbeing, that belongs with a qualified clinician. Nothing in this report substitutes for one, and we will say so rather than sell you an hour.

45–60 minutes. Then you will know something.

Your answers save as you go, so you can start now and finish tonight. The untimed sections wait for you; only the five short aptitude subtests are on a clock, and each one is over in a few minutes.
